Can I change my email address/loginid after registration at a later stage..?
Once you have registered, you can always change your email address/login id from the admin page.

How do I start building my family tree?
Click the 'Family Trees' link on the left navigation menu. If you have just registered, you will
get a base tree with a single member (that's yourself) on the tree. Click the  icon in the member box
and choose the right relationship you want to add and fill relevant details.

How do I add grand parents?
You have to go step by step to build the tree. Before adding grand parents you have to add parents.
Choose the tree member to whom you want to add parent. Click on the icon in that member
box to get the new tree member form and choose father or mother accordingly and add relevant information. Then save it
to get a parent added to the tree. Now you select the newly added parent member by clicking the icon in that
parent member box and add a parent to that which will be the grand parent of the first tree member you selected.

How do I edit/delete a tree/family member?
You can always edit/delete your details or your family member details by clicking the Member Name in your tree.
Alternatively you can select 'Family Members' link from left navigation menu and click the Member Name you want to edit.

You can set any member from your tree as the starting point in your tree. Just follow the link 'Set starting point in your tree ' from the site admin area.

Can I add my divorced wife/husband in my family tree?
Yes, you can. Our tree is flexible enough to accommodate multiple wives/husbands/partners.
You can add ex-husband/wife/partner by choosing the icon from your member box in your
base tree and choose the relationship (husband/wife/partner etc..) in the next form as usual.
Please note that we have given a 'tree node comment' option in the form which can be used
to indicate that this is your ex-husband/wife/partner which will appear in the tree as a note.

Can I add stepfather/stepmother in to my family tree?
Yes. It's the same as adding ex-husband/wife. You can add stepfather/mother by clicking the icon from your member box in your
base tree and choosing the right relationship (father/mother).

How can I attach photos to members in my tree?
From the Family album ('Family album' link from the left navigation menu) click the 'upload photo'.
Here you will get options to upload photo of any member in your tree.

Can I add multiple photos to one person in my tree?
You can add as many photos as you want to any person in your tree.
But only one photo can be set to appear in the tree for each person. All other photos can be put in the
general album category (but can also be tagged against your selected tree member).

How do I create my family site?
Creating your family site is very simple and can be done with a single click.
In the admin section ('Admin account' link from left navigation menu) if you have not yet created the site, you will get a link
'Click here to create your family tree site'. Just by clicking the link your site will be automatically created for you.You will get
a message that the site has been created and also you will get all other links to admin/configure your site.

How do I edit homepage of my family site?
From your 'Admin account' section follow the link called 'Edit Home Page of your site'
where you will get an option to edit your homepage, photo and description about your family.

From your 'Admin account' section follow the link 'Site colour/design settings'
to get options to customize the look and feel of your site.

How do I password protect my family site?
From your 'Admin account' section follow the link 'Password protect your site'
Note:- When you create your family site for the first time, your default protection is set to private. (that means
no one will be able to access your site using the direct site URL).

From your 'Admin account' section follow the link 'Manage your site guest book entries '.

How do I contact other members?
Find the member you want to contact by using member search in the site (use 'search' link from left
navigation menu). In the search result, click the Send message link of the member you wish to contact.

Uploading GEDCOM files
Upload GEDCOM files from our GEDCOM upload page (Choose 'upload GEDCOM files' from the site admin section).
You can upload as many GEDCOM files as you want and keep them as separate trees or even extend it by individually adding members to the tree.
